“We worked with Social Impact Consulting on the NDG Community Strategic Plan 2016-2021. She employed a creative and inclusive consultation method: following a year of consultation with residents – NDG has a population of 67,000 – and over 45 community groups, local businesses and institutions, Marlo led the coordination committee, organized a Quality of Life Conference with more than 180 participants, and engaged 55 residents on five committees to develop the five strategic goals and the Action Plan. Marlo's strength is in her creativity as well as her capacity to lead, mobilize and ensure diversity and inclusion.”

- Halah Al-Ubaidi, Notre-Dame-de-Grâce Community Council Executive Director

“Adri was an absolute pleasure to work with, she was timely, professional and super organized. She kept me accountable for my tasks. I learned a lot from her regarding the board skills matrix and board accountabilities. She was amazing throughout the entire process of hiring our administrative assistant.”

—Franca, Seniors Respite Montregie

“We worked with Marlo, Adri and Social Impact Consulting on a visioning exercise for the Multi-Faith and Spirituality Centre.  They helped us identify and mobilize a broad range of stakeholders, and were able to capture and synthesize a wide variety of views and suggestions.  Their work set us up to review our mission and begin planning programs and services that meet the needs of students and the broader community. I’d recommend them to other organizations looking for strategic consulting!”

—Rev. Jen Bourque, Chaplain and Coordinator of the Multi-faith and spirituality centre at Concordia University

“ Thanks so much, to the both of you. One thing's for sure, without YOU we would not be here on the threshold of beginning operations. What a year of learning it has been for me, and you always having my back. I'm super grateful and recognize how blessed I've been to have found you.”

— Liane Berry, Founder of LI-BER-T House

"Organizational structural resets are extremely tough to navigate. Fortunately, Valery and Marlo have worked so much to bring us back on track, and have guided us masterfully throughout the delicate process of creating new and sustainable ways to manage our internal priorities. They both took the time needed to get to understand our internal structures and coached our team extensively to ensure long-lasting results. They both proved to be human-first and were very insightful in steering us the right way!"

— Celeste Trianon, Centre for Gender Advocacy

“Grand Potager really appreciated this workshop. It was a great way to get members in community together to see how we could work together and find ways to better face a reoccurring challenge: financing. The animation was well presented, structured and professional. The participants especially appreciate the asset mapping helping us visual map our work environment and identify potential partnerships.”

— Lia Chiasson, Grand Potager

“Launching a new event is always stressful. Marlo helped give direction to our team, helping us navigate and avoid potential pitfalls. “We’ve now had Marlo conduct our board of directors training two years in a row at the Concordia Food Coalition. Each time, we’ve walked away from it feeling invigorated and with a multitude of tools at our disposal to take on our tasks for the year. Marlo marries a plethora of knowledge in the nonprofit field and non-hierarchical decision-making with a smooth and inclusive facilitation style that empowers us to comprehensively reflect on our organization and identify ways to improve through SWOT analysis and other interactive games/activities. I would highly suggest her to any organization needing a board training and we certainly plan to contract her for other trainings in the future.”

“I have had the pleasure of working with Marlo Ritchie twice, the experience both times was fruitful and beneficial to the organization. Marlo took the time to get to know the internal structures of the Hive Cafe Co-op and worked collaboratively with us to improve and increase the efficiency of our operations by modifying our internal structures.”

— Chloë Williams, Cafe Coordinator, Hive Cafe Solidarity Co-operative

"I worked with Adri from social impact consulting and had biweekly coaching sessions over a period of 5-6 months (2023). In this period of time, I have noticed an immense change and improvement in my own confidence and competence as a non-profit manager. Adri has been extremely helpful in guiding me towards implementing structure at my organization (something which non-profits often lack) and has helped me develop a plan of action for managing interns and volunteers. When I first started my coaching sessions, I had a lot of trouble visualizing how I was going to do these things. Now my organization has a much more concrete system for intake, onboarding, and training all new staff and volunteers, leading to a more efficient, streamlined process. I have much more clarity in my role as the station manager, and overall am experiencing much greater job satisfaction than I was before. I really recommend this service and Adri's coaching to anyone in the non-profit world, especially if you are struggling to make things functional or to build infrastructure within your organization!"

- Sophia Hirst Barsoski, CUTV Station Manager

“I started my position as Ed at the Welcome Collective and within the first month we were planning the organization's first fundraising campaign. I had many concerns about our strategies and what would be the appropriate approach for this first time campaign. Marlo came highly recommended through the previous Ed, Noelle Sorbara, as a wonderful organizational consultant who could help us navigate our concerns. With short notice, we scheduled an appointment with Marlo and she provided us with a sounding board and concrete feedback on our communications plan and fundraising letter, all which were applied. I am glad to say we had a very successful campaign and the fact that we met with Marlo provided us with assurance on the strategies to undertake and ultimately set the stage for an incredible fundraising campaign where we raised over $ 120, 000.”

—Dina Souleiman - Executive Director Welcome Collective

“Marlo structured our organization's strategic planning process by proposing an approach that included both the board and the team. Her knowledge of the reality of non-profit organizations facilitated our exchanges and accelerated our reflections.”

— Sophie Gagnon, Lawyer and Executive Director - Juripop

“Our volunteer Board of Directors recently contracted Social Impact Consulting to assist us in collecting information from our membership to inform our future planning. We hired Fiona who was timely, responsive, and professional from our first consultation until our final analysis. She guided us to think broadly and ‘outside of the box,’ and to remain curious. By presenting us with a variety of organizational frameworks, including the Eco-cycle Model, Fiona helped us to be better equipped to understand where we are as an organization, and more informed of our options moving forward. Our expectations were surpassed, and we are contracting with Fiona and Social Impact Consulting again to create a social media plan.”

— Ottawa Chapter of the Ontario Association of Family Mediators

“I was lucky enough to meet Marlo through YES Montreal’s Human Library Mentorship program in the spring of 2019. I am looking forward to working with Marlo further and learning from her incredible experience and breadth of knowledge.”

“Working with Marlo Turner Ritchie was incredibly helpful for our team at the Concordia Greenhouse. We started an analytical process together which began with an organizational audit, proceeded to strategic planning and continued recently with training for our board of directors. — Sheena Swirlz, former Media and Services Coordinator, Concordia University Greenhouse

“Marlo did a training on intern supervision for the staff and board members at the Dish Project, Concordia University of Creative Reuse, and Sustainable Concordia. She is so professional, knowledgable, and patient - we couldn’t have asked for a better facilitator to help us move through what could have been a difficult conversation for a group of non-hierarchical organizations. I look forward to working with her in the future!”
